2. Description
PLAZA-UFERCOT-1505 is a modified solventless epoxy resin which in combination with PLAZA-HD-1758 cures into a hard mass.PLAZA-HD-1758 is a low viscosity liquid polyamine hardener. The curing of the compound takes place at ambient temperature by polyaddition reaction.
3. Areas of Application
Applications of PLAZA-UFERCOT-1505 in Combination with PLAZA-HD-1758 are:• Casting, potting and encapsulation of electrical and electronic components such as transforms, solenoid coils, capacitors etc.
4. Application Method
PLAZA-UFERCOT-1505 & PLAZA-HD-1758 should be mixed well at room temperature (20 to 40ºC) and should be used within 30-50 minutes, depending upon the ambient temperature and quantity of mixture.Addition of FillersDried fillers such as silica, talc, dolomite, mica can be incorporated depending upon the performance requirement. Fillers shall be dried in oven at 150-200ºC for 4-6 hours to remove moisture. Wherever vacuum mixing facilities are available, fillers may be added to PLAZA-UFERCOT-1505 under vacuum preferably at 50-60ºC.Mould used for casting must first be treats with a mould releasing agent. For this purpose, a baking finish of com-pound stored for 4-6 hours at 150ºC and polishing with silicone paste, thereafter, are best suited.
5. Properties of cured materialPLAZA-UFERCOT-1505 + PLAZA-HD-1758 system is characterised by low viscosity & fast curing at ambient tempera-ture. The hard cured mass has good mechanical, electrical, & chemical properties. The resin system can be used with higher filler loading. The resin/hardener combination is used in electrical components of thermal class 120 (class E).

Mixing Ratio: (Resin: Hardener) pbw ::100: 10-12
Initial Viscosity of mixture at 25oC (mPa.s): 250(typical)
Pot life at 25oC (min) :75-95(typical)
Recommended Curing Schedule
25-30 hours at 20°C or 15-20 hours at 30°C or 12-15 hours at 40°C
The curing time is after the component or mould attains specified temperature.
Time required to heat up moulds, etc. should be added in the above suggested curing time.
