2. Description
PLAZA-UFERCOT-1050 + PLAZA-HD-1061 is a two-component heat curing epoxy system.
PLAZA-UFERCOT-1050 is a liquid, modified, bisphenol-A based epoxy resin for electrical application.
PLAZA-HD-1061 is a pre-accelerated, liquid anhydride hardener suitable to cure epoxy resin at elevated temperature.

• VPI / Dip Impregnation of transformers.
• Trickle impregnation of auto components
4. Application Method
PLAZA-UFERCOT-1050+ PLAZA-HD-1061 is processed according to all impregnating methods conventional in electrical machines and transformer construction, such as dipping or flooding. Owing to the low vapor pressure impregnation under vacuum or vacuum pressure and dip-rolling of preheated components is possible. The system also can be used by trickle impregnation by curing at elevated temperature of 150oC
5. Properties of cured material
This system is capable to provide excellent resistance to heat ageing and high thermal shock resistance. It is suitable for Class ‘H’ as per IEC 85. Excellent toughness combined with elevated glass transition temperature. Recommended for applications with long term stresses up to service temperature of 85°C.
Mixing Proportion & Pot Life :
Mixing Ratio: (Resin: Hardener) pbw ::100: 80
Initial Viscosity of mixture at 60oC (mPa.s): 7200 (typical)
Pot life at 25oC : 2 days
Recommended Curing Schedule• Curing schedule: 6h / 80° C + 10h / 130°C.
The curing time is after the component attains specified temperature.
